Activated Charcoal has an absorbent, detoxifying, and anti-diarrhetic effect since it absorbs poisons and other toxins from the digestive tract, such as alkaloids, glycosides, barbiturates and other sleeping and narcotic agents, salts of heavy metals, toxins of bacterial, vegetal, and animal origin. Use to detoxify the body in cases of endogenous poisoning (from inside the body) and exogenous poisoning (from outside the body) nausea, gas in the digestive system, food poisoning, dysentery, acid reflux, kidney failure, surface skin infections, bronchial asthma, inflammation of the stomach, intestines and gallbladder, overdoses of medications, allergic sicknesses and alcohol withdrawal syndrome. Patients may use Carbolong to decrease the quantity of intestinal gas for prepare for Roentgen and endoscopic examination.
